I have always been a fan of the strange and unusual in nature--and flounder are weird. That's why I find flouder fishing inspiring.
These fish are born with an eye on each side like other fishes and then after a few months, one eye migrates to the other side. Then they spend their lives camoflaged on the bottom waiting for food to swim by. Add some nuclear testing, and you have a candidate for a new villain in Japan's Gozilla franchise.
While I am a fan of traditions, I am certainly all for exploration, and that is what this book represents: tradition and exploration. For every old flounder secret revealed, there is something new I or someone I know discovered.
This book represents my deep passion for flounder fishing tradition and breaking new ground in this exciting fishery.
