101 Kayak Freshwater Launching Points

The latest book to be published in the Texas Fish & Game library is called “101 Freshwater Kayak Launching Points,” written and beautifully photographed by longtime kayaker Paul Batchelder, Sr.

Paul spent more than a year exhaustively researching the book, traveling across East and scouth-Central Texas to personally launch from and photograph each profiled point. In the end, he profiled quite a few more than 101 spots!

This 256-page book features vivid black & white photographs of the sites, as well as detailed directions and maps, including GPS coordinates and elevations. Paul also provides helpful tips and information about each launch site. The book features launching points on lakes, rivers, creeks and in state, county and city parks.

    New Fishing Destinations

I have bought maps for different locations for saltwater fishing. This book was exceptional as it gave information to several different locations to launch a kayak that were unknown to me. There was information regarding fishing advisories related to winds and advisories for areas where it is not safe to eat the fish. I bought my son-n-law a book also. I would recommend this book.
